There are two types of ski weeks:
The week where you carry skis, poles, boots, helmets, and a damp glove collection back to the hotel every day…
The week where you don’t. 😌✨
Ski lockers are the difference. They’re one of those simple things that makes everything feel easier: mornings are smoother, your room stays drier (no ski's or boots in room please), and you stop doing that daily “who’s carrying the boots?” negotiation. 👀👢
Most hotels and apartments in Andorra include ski storage or lockers as part of your stay (sometimes it’s a shared ski room, sometimes a dedicated locker). So before booking anything extra, it’s worth checking what’s included with your accommodation. If you’ve already got a ski room in the building… you may not need anything else. 👍
This is the bit people miss.Lockers can be in different places depending on the resort:
Bottom of the gondola / lift base (great if you’re walking back through town and want to ditch your kit first)
Top station / slope-side (great if you want to step out onto snow without carrying anything)
So the smart move is to check the locker location before you book: Are you storing your kit where you’ll start and finish your ski day? If yes, you’ve nailed it. 🎯
If you fancy a locker (recommended for keeping life tidy 🙏), reserve it in advance. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it saves you hunting around on day one 🏃♀️💨 when all you really want is food and a sofa 🍔🛋️
Here are the official locker pages:
👉 Grandvalira, Pas de la Casa, Soldeu, El Tarter
Families 👨👩👧👦 (boots are heavy and children are… enthusiastic)
Beginners 🟦 (less stress, calmer mornings)
Anyone skiing multiple days ⛷️ (daily carrying gets old fast)
In busy weeks (hello Half Term 👋), yes defiantly, it’s a good idea. Lockers can sell out in the most popular spots, so booking early avoids disappointment.
Very often, yes. Most accommodation has some form of ski storage. Always check what’s included with your booking before paying for extra lockers elsewhere.
It depends on the resort and the locker point. Some are at the lift base, some are slope-side. Always check the location so it fits your daily routine.
Skis/board, poles, boots, helmet, and anything you don’t want wet in your room. Bonus points for leaving the “spare gloves you swear you’ll use” in there too 🧤😂
If your hotel ski room is convenient and secure, you’re probably fine. A paid locker is most useful when you want slope-side storage or you’re staying somewhere that makes carrying gear a pain.
