There comes a moment in every ski holiday booking when the exciting bit meets the practical bit.
The accommodation? Sorted.
The dates? In the diary.
The group chat? Already debating who is going to be first in the bar.
Now you need the stuff that actually gets you onto the mountain.
Enter the Pal Arinsal 6-Day Lift Pass + Ski or Snowboard & Boots Hire Pack.
One straightforward package combining your full Pal Arinsal Area lift pass with standard ski or snowboard equipment and boots.
No separate bookings. No last-minute equipment hunt. No arriving in Arinsal and discovering somebody assumed somebody else had sorted the lift passes.

Here's where things get interesting.
Pal Arinsal gives you two distinct mountain sectors to explore: Pal and Arinsal.
Staying in Arinsal? The gondola takes you directly from the village up into the Arinsal sector.
Staying in La Massana? The gondola takes you directly into the Pal sector.
Once you're up there, Pal and Arinsal are linked, giving you plenty of scope to move around the ski area rather than spending six days lapping the same few runs.
One day might be about confidence-building cruisers.
The next might involve exploring further across the mountain because somebody at breakfast said, “You have to try that run over in Pal.”
Ordino Arcalís is a separate ski area from Pal Arinsal and is included in the Nord lift Pass
That's what having the full-area pass is for.
Very much so.
Pal Arinsal has long been popular with people taking their first proper ski holiday, and there's a reason for that.
You don't need to arrive knowing the difference between carving and parallel turns.
You don't even need to know how you're supposed to walk in ski boots without looking like a malfunctioning robot.
The ski area has terrain where beginners can learn, practise and build confidence progressively, rather than feeling as though the entire mountain is waiting for them to get out of the way.
Add lessons to your booking and you've got the foundations of a very straightforward first ski holiday.
And by day three?
There's usually somebody confidently announcing at breakfast:
“I think I'm ready for a blue.”
This is how it starts.
This is arguably where Pal Arinsal becomes even more fun.
Once you've got your ski legs back, you've got two sectors to explore, plenty of cruising terrain and enough variety to stop every day feeling like a repeat of the one before.
It's the sort of skiing where you can cover some distance, stop for a mountain lunch, find another favourite run and still get back in time for après.
No stopwatch required.
Absolutely.
You can choose standard snowboard + boots instead of skis when booking the pack.
So whether you're happiest on two planks or firmly committed to one board, the principle is the same:
lift pass + equipment + mountain = sorted.
🪖 Remember that helmet hire isn't included, so add this separately if required.
You need mountain access and equipment anyway.
Putting the two together means fewer separate things to organise before you travel.
Add lessons and suddenly that intimidating first ski trip starts looking remarkably manageable.
If your plan is essentially “get up there and explore”, the full-area pass gives you the freedom to move between Pal and Arinsal rather than staying in one small part of the mountain.
Family ski holidays come with enough moving parts already.
Hotel. Transfers. Lessons. Equipment. Lift passes. Gloves. Goggles.
And at least one child who will announce they've lost something approximately seven minutes after leaving the hotel.
Getting the big essentials booked together removes a few items from that list.
We'll take that as a win.
You know how this works.
Someone wants skis.
Someone wants a snowboard.
Someone insists they're definitely skiing first lift every morning despite considerable historical evidence to the contrary.
Get the mountain essentials sorted before you arrive and leave the group chat to concentrate on the important stuff.
Like après.
Good question, because both give you access to Pal Arinsal, but they offer different holiday experiences.
Arinsal has that unmistakable ski-village feel.
You've got the gondola, bars, restaurants and après close at hand, making it particularly popular with families, groups, first-time skiers and anyone who likes having plenty happening around them once the ski boots come off.
Stay in La Massana and your gondola takes you directly into the Pal sector.
The town itself has a more local, year-round feel, with restaurants, shops and easy access towards Andorra la Vella.
So don't assume that staying in La Massana means you're somehow staying away from the skiing.
Quite the opposite.
Pal is your front door to the mountain.
This is where Andorra gets interesting.
Ordino Arcalís is a separate ski area from Pal Arinsal, known for its high-mountain setting and terrain that can make a brilliant change of scenery during a longer Andorra ski holiday.
It's particularly appealing to more confident skiers and snowboarders who fancy seeing another side of Andorra's mountains.
If you're wondering how Arcalís could fit into your holiday or what lift-pass options apply, talk to our Andorra-based team before booking and we'll help you work out what makes sense.
Because the memorable bit isn't collecting a lift pass or being handed a pair of skis.
It's what happens afterwards.
It's your child suddenly skiing towards you shouting, “LOOK!”
It's the mate who hasn't skied for ten years discovering that apparently their legs do remember.
It's your first proper run without falling over.
It's finding that sunny mountain terrace at lunchtime and deciding that one drink won't hurt.
It's skiing from one part of the mountain to another simply because you can.
The lift pass and equipment are just the keys.
The holiday starts when you use them.
Because Andorra isn't one destination among hundreds for us.
It's what we do.
Our Andorra-based team knows Arinsal, La Massana, Pal and the ski products you're looking at.
So if you're wondering:
❓ Which lift pass do I need? ❓ Should I stay in Arinsal or La Massana? ❓ Should I book skis or a snowboard? ❓ Do the children need lessons? ❓ What equipment is included? ❓ Should I add helmets? ❓ How do I put the whole ski holiday together?
Ask us.
Sometimes a quick conversation with somebody who actually knows Andorra is considerably easier than opening another 14 browser tabs.
We're here, when you're here.
