Andorra Top Insider Tips for your Half Term Ski Holiday 📌

Half Term Top Tips in Andorra 🏔️✨

How to arrive like a legend (and avoid the “airport shuffle”) 😅🧳

Half Term in Andorra is brilliant… and also a tiny bit feral in the best possible way 🙌⛷️. Everyone’s excited, the ski school queues have opinions 🤨, and the mountain is doing its thing ❄️🏔️

So here’s the game plan: get a few simple bits sorted before you arrive, and you’ll glide into resort feeling like you’ve got your life together 😎✅ (even if you’re still finding cereal bars in your jacket pocket in April 🍫😂).

We’ve pulled together our must-do tips so your week runs smooth, calm, and gloriously low-faff 🧠✨. And if anything doesn’t make sense at any point, just contact us 📩.

We’re here, when you’re here 🤝🇦🇩

1) Before you get here: do the boring bits now, thank yourself later 📋✅

Print your transfer voucher 🖨️

Yes, it’s old school. Yes, it works.

On your voucher you’ll find the directions to the pick-up point once you walk out of arrivals ✈️➡️🚌, so you can head straight there like you’ve done this a hundred times 💪 (no wandering around doing the “airport shuffle” with a ski bag and a confused face 🧳🤷‍♂️).

Know what you’ll get in resort 📩

When you arrive, you’ll receive your Welcome Envelope from Andorra Travel Service with:

  • Your Actual Lift passes 🎟️

  • Ski/board hire vouchers 🎿🏂

  • Lesson vouchers (if included in your booking) 🏫

It’s basically your Andorra survival kit in paper form 😄🧡

Want a locker? Sort it before you arrive 🔒

If you fancy a locker (highly recommended for keeping life tidy 🙏), reserve it in advance using the links in our Top Tips section. Quick, easy, and it saves you hunting around on day one 🏃‍♀️💨 when all you really want is food and a sofa 🍔🛋️

2) Arrival day mission: pick up your ski hire ASAP 🎯🕒

Here’s our golden rule for Half Term: Get your hire sorted before your first morning on the mountain. ✅🎿If you arrive early enough you can do it on arrival day, do it.

You’ll wake up on your first ski day feeling smug, organised, and weirdly powerful 😌💥And there’s a sneaky bonus: you’ll actually have time to pause and take in that first proper mountain view 😍🏔️… before the crowds arrive and someone in a helmet asks, “Is this the gondola?” 😆🚠

Everything you need will be waiting in your Welcome Pack: lift passes 🎟️, ski school tickets 🏫, and any lunch vouchers 🍽️

3) Ski School + Snow Garden: arrive early and bring the magic paper 🏫✨

Whether you’re heading to ski school, snowboard school, or the snow garden 👶❄️, this part is key:

  • Have your vouchers ready (they’ll be in your Welcome Pack) 🎟️✅

  • When you get to the top of the gondola / ski school office 🚠, you’ll need them to check in 📝

Timing that saves your sanity 😇⏰

  • Adults: arrive 20 minutes early 🕒

  • Families with kids: give yourself 40 minutes 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🕒 - to register your children before you get to your lessons.

Half Term is a busy period for lessons 😅. A little buffer time now = a much calmer morning and fewer rushed “WHY HAVE YOU LOST YOUR GLOVE ALREADY?!” moments 🧤😂

4) Lunch vouchers: treat them like gold (because they sort of are) 🏆🍴

If you’ve upgraded your lift pass to include lunch, your lunch voucher will be in your Welcome Pack as a separate ticket🎟️, along with a list of where you can use it 📍

Top tip: take a quick photo of it on your phone 📸📱

It’s one voucher per person for the whole week, so it deserves the same level of protection as your passport 🛂😄… and whatever you do, don’t leave it on the counter after you order 🙈 (this happens. Every week. Like clockwork ⏱️😂, sorry this cannot be replaced once issued).

5) Before you leave: don’t get caught out on the way home 🚌✅

About 3 days before you travel, do a quick check of your return transfer pick-up point 🔎🗓️If anything doesn’t look right, contact us and we’ll sort it 📩🤝

No stress 😌. No last-minute panic 😱. No “Are we… at the wrong pick up point?” at 3:40am 🚎 🅿️😅

We will be genuinely sad to see you go 🥲💙 (we get attached). But we’d love to welcome you back again next year 🙌🇦🇩

Final tip: take 30 seconds now, save loads of faff later ⏱️📸

When you arrive, take a few quick photos on your phone of:

  • Lift passes 🎟️📸

  • Lunch vouchers 🍽️📸

  • Ski/board hire barcodes 🎿🏂📸

It’s a tiny job that can save a lot of hassle if something gets lost, soggy, or mysteriously disappears into the same black hole as missing gloves and single socks 🧤🧦🕳️😂 And if you’re even slightly worried about your kit doing a little “walkabout”… you’re not alone 😅.

Next up, we’ll share a few tried-and-tested Andorra fan tips to help keep your gear exactly where you left it 🧡🎿🔒 - 👉 Tap here

Half Term FAQs 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️❄️

1) Do I really need to print my transfer voucher? 🖨️

Yep. It’s your golden ticket for smooth arrivals ✅. It shows the pick-up point directions so you don’t end up doing laps of the airport like you’re training for a marathon 🏃‍♂️🧳

2) Where do I get my lift passes / hire / lesson vouchers? 🎟️🎿🏫

You’ll receive a Welcome Envelope when you arrive in resort 📩. That’s where your lift passes and any vouchers live. Keep it safe (and ideally not at the bottom of a bag full of snacks) 😄🍫

3) When should we pick up ski hire? ⏰🎿

As soon as you can after arriving. Arrival day is ideal ✅ It makes day one feel effortless… and you’ll avoid the “we’re late and everyone needs boots” chaos 😅👢

4) How early should we arrive for ski school? 🏫🕒

Adults: 20 mins early Kids/families: 40 mins early 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Half Term is busy, so that buffer is your best friend 🤝✨

5) Lunch voucher… is it really one for the whole week? 🍽️

Yes! One voucher per person for the week 🏆 So take a photo of it, keep it safe, and please don’t leave it on the counter after ordering 🙈😂

6) When do I find out the return transfer pick-up point? 🚌

It’ll be on your return transfer voucher, but do yourself a favour: check it at least 3 days before you travel home 🔎🗓️ If anything looks odd, contact us and we’ll sort it 📩🤝

7) Can we ask you questions once we’re in resort? 🇦🇩💬

Absolutely. That’s the whole point of us being here 🙌 If you’re unsure about anything, just contact us and we’ll help you get it sorted ✅😊

8) What is slope insurance and do we need it? 🩹⛑️

Slope insurance is optional cover you can add for peace of mind on the mountain ✅ for medical treatment on the mountain and cover to replace your lift passes (as these are non refundable)

If you want it, you must purchase it at the ticket offices before you use your lift pass for the first time 🎟️🏢 Top tip: do it on day one (or even as soon as you arrive in resort) so you don’t forget once the excitement kicks in 😄⛷️ -

📱 And When You Get Here… We’re Still Here

Booking with us doesn’t end with your confirmation email. We’re based in Andorra year-round. That means when you're here, we’re here — not on hold, not in a call centre, but on the ground, in the snow, living the same mountains you came to explore.

We’re just a WhatsApp away. Fast replies, real help, no faff.

💡 Pro Tip: Roaming in Andorra can get pricey. Turn off roaming when you arrive — there’s free Wi-Fi in most hotels, on many of our transfer buses, and even up the mountain.

📶 Hack: Your lift pass? It doubles as your mountain Wi-Fi password. Flip it over. Connect. Boom.

We'd love to hear from you
